Mission Statement
Rm.6 Theatre serves the Philadelphia community by producing relevant, thought-provoking plays that are inspired by a unique artistic vision. We undertake the challenge of going back to the basics, both in teaching and presentation we strive to present the fundamentals of acting and theatre without the fancy dressings of overproduction. This allows thought-provoking and sometimes controversial work to be explored on a deeper level and encourages truthful exchanges about important social, moral and political issues while nurturing artistic risk and growth.
Rm.6 feels that education is the key to such growth. We provide intensive acting training at reasonable rates, because we feel everyone should have the opportunity to explore themselves and their community through the mind-opening medium of the theatre.
